Bottle, from Johnnys, in Florence hotel room 25/09/16. Hazed golden orange with a well appointed off white head of bubbles. Nose is lemon rind, straw, yeast esters, white pepper, grains, bitter orange. Taste comprises light funk, herbal effect, lemon tinged straw, white pepper, hay bale, yeast esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, moderately drying close with a spice tickle. Decent well balanced saison.

Heller, trocken gewürziger Antrunk. Leicht erhöhte Karbonisierung, die pfeffrigen Aromen sind erst hintergründig erkennbar und werden dann stärker. Trocken hellmalziger Nachhall. Gelungen. 10/10/9/10/9/9

Bottle from Johnny’s Offlicense, Roma. Hazy orange, white head. Yeasty citrus aroma. Citrus flavour, sweetish with light bitterness. The pepper is a nice touch. Good.

Bottle shared with mortlach and the brewer at Johnny Off L. beer store in Rome-Italy. It pours yellow/golden cloudy color, medium white foamy head. Nice appearance. Nose: elegant spicy notes in an overall typical saison-like scent. The green pepper from Kampot-Cambodia (which I recall from my experience on that site) pops up after a few minutes, gently and never disturbing. Great. The mouth is mild, a bit of that citric notes here and there, lemon forward and yeast as well. Balanced and well-made saison. Bravo

Aroma is grassy with apricot and hints of pepper. Flavour is slightly spicy with grain, some saisony yeast and fruity tones. Nice, the pepper is mild enough for not to disturb but strong enough so that I can feel it.
