330 ml bottle, vintage 2015, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 9%. Cloudy brown colour, large off-white to beige head. Aroma of brown malts, brown kandij sugar, mild spices and Belgian ale yeast. The flavour is medium sweet (not too much), distinct notes of brown kandij sugar, also mild spices, hints of chocolate and dark dried fruits. Warming mouthfeel. One of the best beers from Aja.

Bottled 330ml (Vinmonopolet Kirkenes vintage 2015)
Dark ruby color, steady beige head. Aroma has toffee and berries and is medicinal. Medium-bodied. Caramel, belgi yeast, vegetably notes and grass. Not very clean anymore. Boring. Alcohol is not present at all.

0.33l bottle from lot 6315. Lots of head on this one. Looks nice though, almost fluffy. Big and lacing beige over a dark bronze colored beer. I smells sugary. Dark and slightly burnt. Raisins, some Belgian dry yeasty tones. Nice enough actually. It's quite high up there on the carbonation this and mild oily in the mouth. Doesn't taste like a nine percenter. Dark sugary and definitely Belgian inspired. Tones of both nuts and chocolate wrapper. Hints of alcohol in the finish but it's never disturbing. Yeah, a somewhat both sweet and dry strong Belgian Christmas ale. 31.12.2016
