On tap at På Kornet. A clear golden colored beer with a finger-thick white head leaving lacing. Cucumber, pickled cucumber and some caraway hints in the aroma. A super-thorough inspection reveals some notes of the base beer as well. It’s medium bodied, with a soft carbonation and a touch of bitterness. Cucumber, spice hints and vinegar flavors, without being sour. Long cucumber finish. A quite nice one, unusual and one-dimensional, and sort of quenching. Don’t think I could have many of these though. 171020

Vom Fass im Stone Brewing Berlin 2018-04 getrunken. Frisch aufgeschnittene grüne Gurke überall! Ob nun in der Nase oder am Gaumen. Die Hopfenbitterkeit hält sich bei diesen Pilsner sehr in Grenzen was mir besonders gefällt. Und das Ganze mit der Gurke ist überraschend auch noch stimmig und sehr erfrischend. Ein richtig tolles Sommerbier.

Pint. From Notes. Nose was cucumber, cereal, malt. Taste was very pronounced cucumber, earth, cereal, malt. Crisp body. I am not a pils drinker, and this was chosen because I've wanted to try a cucumber beer for some time. This was drunk as an aperitif to an Indian meal which it served well for. I think added depth and interest to a style I am largely indifferent to, I liked it a lot

Keg at MS HW, 02/02/18. Clear pale yellow blonde with a decent white cap. Nose is pickle juice, cucumber, dill, watermelon, grass. Taste comprises cucumber, gherkins, light spice, seaweed, light pickle tang. Medium to light body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Novelty beer ... does what it says on the tin ... a taster is all you need of this one !

På Kornet Stavanger 201017. Golden color with a white head. Aroma is cucumber, malt. Flavor is cucumber, malt, fruit, herbs. Weird beer.
