YG 081023. chestnut color with a beige head. Aroma is burnt and smoked malt. Flavor is smoked and burnt malt, chocolate, pine, toffee, bread. Nice beer.

Clear dark amber, tall white head. Aroma of smokehouse, smoked meat. Taste is fruity and balanced, malt, red berries, smoked meat and spruce sprouts.

Bottle, 2023 vintage, 6% ABV. A lightly hazy chestnut colored beer with a dense, light beige head of moderate size. The aroma is quite delicious, with smoked beech, bread, some toffee and dark chocolate, and a piney hop touch. It's medium bodied and nicely carbonated, with a gentle bitterness. Quite dry, with a smoked flavor, but not feeling as smoked as the aroma. Toffee, dark bread crust, toffee and a little sweetness in the flavor. Toffee, bread, smoke and some piney notes in the finish. Although not at Schlenkerla levels it's sure a fine rauchbier. 231008

Rødbrun klar med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter brent trevirke, havre og noe mørke frukter. Middels fylde. Maltig smak. Brent karamell, trevirke, nøtter og mørke frukter. Kort.

750 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Christmas 2016. ABV is 6.5%. Brown colour, large off-white to beige head. Aroma of moderate smoke, spices and blackcurrants. Slightly sweet flavour of smoked malts, blackcurrants and other dark fruits, some spices, minimal hops. Drinkable, but hardly one to repeat for next Christmas.

Flaske 750ml spandert av Rune. Delt med ham, EgilB og Helge på Nerstranda 5 Jan 17. Mørk brun. Veldig uklar. God baconaroma. Smaken har et lett røykpreg. Ellers malt. Bra - men litt lite variasjon.

Shared bottle at DSJT at Cardinal 13.11.16. Aroma of marsh, eal traps and stinging nettle. Taste of stinging nettle and eal traps, with lightly burnt circuit boards in aftertaste. Slightlyu sour.
