Bottle from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. Clear brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and red fruit. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 130223

Den virket ikke så mørk, men var til gjengjeld temmelig lys, så jeg fikk ikke den klassiske norske juleøl følelsen, mer en tysk bokk. Og så virket den mer alkoholisk enn sine 7,0%. Sannelig om jeg vet.

Rødbrun lett tåkete med lavt beige skum. Lukter ristet malt og karamell. Middels fylde. Smaker melkesjokolade, maltig lett bitter brent karamell og krydder. (Oslo Ølfestival 2018)

Bottle. The colour is slightly hazy reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma of heather, caramel, grass, fudge and grains. Flavour of grains, heather, wood and some caramel and more grass. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a light to medium bitterness. Balanced and decent.

330 ml bottle, batch 105, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.0%, IBU 38. Hazy reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of malts, caramel and mild spices. The flavour is moderately sweet with distinct notes of caramel, hints of mild spices. Moderate hops. Decent beer.

Shared bottle at Yule beer tasting on board Fridtjofen 09.12.16 and 10.12.16. Orange. Aroma of smoke and raw mash. Taste of raw mash and dried tropical fruits.

Bottle. An unclear, reddish orange beer with a dense, beige head. Yeasty aroma with some caramel and wet cardboard. Rather fruity, with a touch of alcohol. Pleasant mouthfeel, with a good body and a nice carbonation level. Yeasty flavor too, with caramel and some wet cardboard-like oxidation. Some dried fruits and a little alcohol warmth. Lasting finish. Not very pleasant this one. 161125

Aroma fruktig, karamell, liten tanke vanilje. Utseende uklar rødlig brun med offwhite skum. Smak karamell, malt, humle, frukt. Dette er en delvis fyldig øl med litt julestemning i, karamell i ettersmaken, lett bitterhet. Alt i alt en god øl Smakt Des 16
