Pours dark reddish brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and coffee. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long chocolate, caramel, coffee and bitter finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Mørk brunt med to fingre høyt lys brunt skum. Lukter sjokolade, kakaobønner, noe røkt og modne bær. Fyldig. Smaker salt, kakaopulver og dyp fruktig søtlighet. Middels lang saltbitter avsluttning.

Big creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, dark malts, raisins, caramel, dark sugar, grass, alcohol, licorice, coffee. Taste is slightly sweet, dark sugar, grass, dark malts, weeds, roasted grain, raisins, minerals, alcohol, burnt caramel, coffee. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 14.09.15. Ebony. Pale brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate and sour yeast. Taste is better. Perhaps more stout than porter, Roasted barley, with a hint of pine in aftertaste.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours dark brown to black with beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, some fruitiness, some pine needles. Tastes a little bit sweet, but roasted bitterness dominates.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.2%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Large beige head. Aroma of roast malts, dark chocolate, and mild coffee. Roasty flavour, medium dry, distinct notes of chocolate malts, also coffee. Roasty and hoppy bitterness in the dry finish.
