Bottle at home. Pours a clear amber colour with a small off-white head. Malty aroma of british fudge, rowanberries, orange and ginger ale. Flavour filled with caramel and more orange bitternes with leather and wood. Slik mouthfeel, and a light bitterness. A fresh and decent bitter.

Bottle at the RHCC - 24/12/12. Clear dark amber with a frothy off white head that retains well. Nose is malt forward, touch of biscuit, light spice. Taste comprises malt, biscuit, light fruit - pretty basic stuff. Medium bodied, light spritz in the carbonation, bitter finish. Yawn!

Had this one many times before, but just realized, I had not rated this one. Written "Glorious 2012" on front label. Pours a clean deep amber colour with a frothy off-white head that lasts a while and creates thick patchy lace. Big caramel malt nose with hints of coffee and nuts. The hop does come out as well, to add some grass notes to the aroma. The taste is a bit milder though with all of the things found in the scent. Light dry-bitterness with the hop finish, and a tad of that rusty water that I do not like (from whatever hop they use). Still, a pretty easy-drinking, mildly creamy, malty-hoppy, session brew.

(500ml Bottle from local off licence) Amber in colour with a small with a white head, hardly any lacing at all. Aroma of malts, caramel. Taste sweet malts and caramel, fruits and light hops. Average for me.

Reddish brown colour, small white head. Aroma of caramel, light egg, hops, light toast, quite fruity. Light bitter flavour, fresh malty, light sweet. Quite thin. Rather sweet finish, light egg, light bitter.
Pretty enjoyable, and no signs of skunk (yet) despite the clear bottle.

Poured from a bottle at home, shared with Deanso. Clear amber pour with a thick white head. Bready aroma. Low carbonation. Bitter but not lingering.

Nice and tart , like a bitter should be. Nut brown color with thin head, bitterness nips the tongue right from the get-go. Liked this a lot....

A nice bitter. The flavors came out as it warmed up.

Standard English bitter perfectly quaffable but perfectly boring and uninspiring. OK to pick up if a supermarket behemoth is doing it for a £1 a bottle, otherwise avoid!
