Golden with a white head - Herbal aromas - Malt in the back to support a good bitter and piney herbal flavour - the herbla pine goes into a long lasting finish - This was good

On tap at the brewpub. It pours a lightly hazy golden body under a dense, white head. The aroma has juniper, pine cones and a little maltyness. Some herbal hop notes. There’s a fine bitterness in the flavor, some herbal notes and pine cones, with quite a lot of juniper. And some malts in the back. Medium to full body with a fine carbonation level. Lasting finish with pale malts, juniper and a bitterness. A really fine one, well worth a revisit, which I will sure have if I ever bump into this beer again. 140617

Muddy light amber, the aroma is mostly fruity and the fruits are light (pear, lychee). Quite bitter with a little smokiness as well, like some sort of overhopped Nordic country beer.

Rerated 21.06.2014, tap @ Ujevnt:
Big creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly fresh resiny, juniper, hops, bark, sap, forest floor, leafs, citrus peel, lawn, hints of soap. Taste is dry resiny, juniper, bark, minerals, soap, hops, leafs, lawn, moss. Longlasting bitterness, dry slightly mineraly mouthfeel. Nice, but not something I can drink a lot of...

Small mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly fresh and fruity, grass, leafs, spices, bark, hops, pepper, green soap. Taste is slightly grassy, hops, grass, bark, cloves, coriander, leafs, cardamom, green soap, pepper. Nice longlasting bitterness. Fair enough, a little strange.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6%. This appears to be a modern pale ale, but brewed with "einerlåg" (brewing water boiled with juniper twigs) according to the ancient Voss homebrew method. The result is both tasty and interesting. Hazy deep golden to orange colour, creamy white head. Aroma and flavour of resinous hops and juniper, hints of smoke, some fruit too. Recommended!

On tap at Parkteatret. Hazy orange to amber with a white head. Fruity and mildly spicy aroma with tropical fruits, pine, malt and hints of juniper and yeast. Moderate sweet with a nice bitterness. Medium body with a slightly soft carbonation. Refreshing and nice!
