Utgangspunktet for Rogalandspilsen er en tsjekkisk pilsner, men vi har valgt å gjøre den litt mindre bitter for at den skal være enda mer leskende. Det er brukt tsjekkisk Saaz humle, og pilsnermalt. Rogalandspils har litt restsødme fra malten, som gjør den til et balansert og friskt øl, med tydelig smak og unik karakter.

Golden, clear wirb a minimal white head. Aroma of malt and straw. Light bitter with a milt malt end. Nothing spes.

330 ml bottle, label No. 6 (Torkild Viig), from Berentsens Ølutsalg. ABV is 4.7%. Clear pale golden colour, large white head. Not much aroma (I had a cold, though). Smooth mouthfeel and flavour, clean taste of malts and moderate hops, a little citrus.

(330 ml bottle). Rogalands Pils is a new beer, temporarily brewed by Aass while Berentsens in Egersund are setting up their own brewing facilities. (Aass also brewed another Rogalands Pils a few years ago, for the Stavanger firm Middelthon). The beer has a typical pils golden colour, moderate head, quite strong fruity, flowery and slightly yeasty aroma. Flavour is clean, fresh and rather "neutral", just a hint of fruity sweetness. Moderate bitterness (too moderate). Average.

6-4-5-2-11 Can, six months before bbd. Pours yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is pale malts with cereals and sweet heathery notes, as well as zesty hops with with lemon and grass. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is pale malts with cereals, hay, honey and minerals, as well as hops with some vegetal notes. Sweet minerals in the finish.

From bottle on board Fridtjofen 24.04.20. Translucent golden. Foamy, but diminishing, white head and lacing. Aroma and taste of old hops, dried flowers, hay and pilsner malt. Some hop bitterness is lingering on.
