Bottle 0.33l at the brewpub. Almost clear, gold colored. AROMA- malt, citrusy, apricot, peach. FLAVOR- neutral, slightly bitter, malt, citrusy, peach, yeasty, touch of hops. Medium bodied. Not bad.

@ Ristorante Il Grottino - Castel Gandolfo

Slightly unclear medium golden, small frothy white head, dissipating slowly. Aroma wheat malt, yeast, coriander, floral hops. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, herbal notes. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, dry sweetbitter aftertaste, lingering bitterness. chalky notes, okay blond.

A beautiful looking 0.33l bottle from Local Patriot, Monfalcone. This is a hazy honey-colored beer with a small bubbly off-white head. It's really heavy on the butter-caramel in the aroma. I also get some fresh flowers and honey-cake, but the butter-caramel - almost diacetyl-ish thingy going on is somewhat dominant. It's really prickling in the mouth, and it has a near thin and almost watery texture. Flavors are not as buttery as first expected, but there are definitely diacetyl tones here. Quite bitter, some autumn leafs, almost grassy - like in old grass. It's also what I would describe as spicy-herbal. Some hint of alcohol in the finish and it's leaving a dry tongue in the aftertaste. Yeah, I'm not utterly impressed, but nice enough I guess. 20.05.2012
