On tap @ Kalfaret Brygghus, Bergen. Pours yellow, with a very small head. Aroma is weird, almost a bit off, with buttery bread and malts. Flavour is nothing special, with sweetly malts and hints of somewhat spicy hops.

Sampled @ Kalfaret Brygghus. Pours a clear golden body with a small bubbly and sidesticking just off-white head. Quite subtle and low on the aroma - not that I was expecting a hoppy aroma bomb, but still, disappointingly mild. Light malty, a bit sweet perhaps and also a bit soapy actually. It has a average carbonation level with a light watery texture. Also a bit soapy in the flavor. Sweet and mild grainy. Ends quite quickly with a low bitterness. What you can expect I guess. Nothing more, just a bit less. 16.02.2012

On tap at Kalfaret. Clear and dark yellow straw-coloured beer with a small and sticky white head. Very sweet aromas of strawberry bubble gum, and some sweet corn as well. The flavours doesnt deviate much from the aromas, and Im left with a feeling that the beer is lacking a lot for beeing a proper pilsener but its still tasteful. There is not much bitterness in it, and lacks the typical grainy dryness.

On tap at the brewpub. A clear, next-to golden body with a small, white head. Quite fruity aroma with malt and grains. Nice fruityness in the flavor too, along with grains and a pleasant bitterness. Medium body and decent level of carbonation. Fruity and malty finish with some grains and a decent bitterness. Refreshing, easy to drink and quite good, for a Norwegian pilsner at least. (080502)

On tap@the brewery. Clear, pale golden body with a thin white head. Almost no aroma at all. Refreshing light fruity flavor with some bitterness. Medium to light body, short finish. Some fruit in the finish, but missing the bitterness very fast.

Pours a clear golden colour with medium sized airy white head and mild fruity nose. Slight malty and hoppy aroma with notes of fruit. Bitterish finish. Drinkable but also a bit too watery.

100ml on tap (4.5% ABV) at the brew house. Clear golden body under a lacing layer. Pale malty aroma with fruity hints. Sweet malty taste leading the way to a discreet hoppy ending with notes of dry bitterness. Quite well bodied for the style. Definitely something else than Hansa Pilsener (15.11.2007).

Medium shiny creamy white head. Orangeish yellow slightly hazy body with light carbonation. Light harmonic aroma that blends grassy hops, apples, and some rubber. Soft, spicy grass hop taste with a dryish edge. Aftertaste is chalky rubbery paper. Some chewiness. Could use more aroma hops and less rubber, but probably appeals to the locals. Lacks the signature metallic bitterness generally associated with Hansa. It’s not too bad, but I didn’t like the aftertaste too much. (0.5l draft.)
