On tap at Olympen. A finger-thick off-white head sits on top of an unclear, amber colored body. Citrus and pine cones, caramel tending towards diacetyl, and some yeast in the aroma. The flavor is too much on the diacetyl side of caramel, without being bad, and there’s also a pleasant bitterness stretching towards the end. Dry, full-bodied and pleasantly carbonated. Again, a Schouskjelleren beer that’s clearly not lagered long enough, but it drinks quite nice anyway. 111015

From tap @ Olympen. Slightly hazy amber with a nice, dense tan head. Good citric fruity aroma with some caramel, sadly a bit marred by a baking yeast character. Moderate bitter, caramel malt and fruity flavor, a bit too much on the sweeter side. Medium body, fine aftertaste. Feels a bit to fresh with the yeast flavor, otherwise definitely a decent IPA.

Tap @ Olympen, Oslo. This is a deep red beer with a nice light creamy to fluffy off-white head that' lacing nicely down the glass. Aroma is nice and fruity, strawberries and some fruity-yeast and perhaps even some tones of flowers. Average carbonation and the mouthfeel is both oily and slick. Quite hoppy this, but it's beautifully balanced with caramel-sweet malts. Sticking hopy aftertaste with a nice warming alcohol prickle. Really nice stuff!

Draught, small glass at the brewpub. Near-clear amber coloured body. Ring of bubbles to the rim of the glass. Ripe oranges and semi-sweet malts to the nose. Fruit hoppy taste with a tropical touch along with caramel malts. Dry bitter ending. Well bodied and well balanced. Pleasant celebration ale (Oslo, 26.09.2011).
