Can from Half Time. Amber in color with a nice beige head. Malty aroma of toffee and dough, a bit of sweet bready notes. Drinks fairly sweet with a mild, almost barleywine kind of sweetness. Not really getting much hop presence here at all, and the malt components aren't my favorite either.

Can at home in London - picked up in VT. Pours surprisingly dark amber-gold with a frothy, khaki head. Lots of earthy and floral notes in the aroma, some toasted grains, brown bread, pine, orange rind. Medium sweet flavour with dried caramel, ripe and rindy orange, toasted herbs, grass. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous in the grand finale, with further toasty malts, grains, some graham cracker, hints of toffee, more orange notes, grassy bitterness, earth. As an old school-styled IPA, it is enjoyable.

Pours slightly hazy bronze into a tulip. Off white head with little retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Sweet tart and tang aromas. Thick with children’s aspirin and sweet caramel upfront turning to bitter earth in the medium length finish.

Pours a dark copper from a can. Melon, jaegermeister-y, a little lilac in the nose. Flavor is a somewhat funky barnyard biscuit. Okay beer.

12 oz can purchased at Spruce Creek Provisions. Color is a deep Amber with fast thin dying white head over the top of the liquid. Aroma is earthy Munich malts, light floral and grassy hops.

This is t going to surprise you when it comes to the flavor. What you smell is what you get. Toasted malt provides the back bone with the hop profile moderate in the form of floral/ flower / green leafy hints. Bitterness is lower or leans on medium. Honestly, this is the third in the SMaSH series and I still haven’t gotten a "wow" factor from any of them. I think the very 1st release was my favorite.
