A balancing act of the finest ingredients, this golden ale is a refreshing new breed of craft beer. Golden and bright, not too hoppy, not too malty, full-flavored but smooth, with a crisp, dry finish.

Part of their Summer Vacation mixed pack, bought in Vermont. Pours a light golden colour, clean, with a white cap, good stay and some foamy lacing. Aromas are a mix of apple notes and hints of rusty water. The taste starts off with sweet grainy malts but hops take over quick enough giving some grassy notes and even some hints of burnt something. Lets just say burnt grass. Lots going on for a blonde ale, but not sure it works.

Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a clear gold to yellow color with a finger’s worth of semi-white / slightly off white sort of foamy head. Some lace.
The aroma had some sweet corn/grain with some light citrus fruit.
The flavor was definitely sweet throughout with the same sort of aftertaste. Finished pretty clean, though.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Sly carbonation and the ABV felt fine.
Overall, it’s decent but then again, I didn’t have high expectations for this.

12 oz bottle from Buy Rite. Pours clear, golden, with a smooth, sheeting off-white head. Light, spotty lacing. Malty aroma, some sweet corn, grainy notes, bread, and a little spice. Finishes slightly sticky. Decent, a little sweeter than I prefer in this kind of beer.

Bottle thanks to my son in law nathan. Golden yellow look. Clean beery aroma. Some hints of hops on the palate but mostly low alky effects shining thru. Quite cutting in the co2 arena. Lots of belgian yeast effects in this one. Saison finish.

From Bushwick Bagel House... pours folden with a white head. Aroma is bready, lightly hoppy. Taste is sort if vegetal... like an ale version of a pils. Very easy to drink. Lightly sweet. Not excite.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass. Appearance is clear, straw yellow with light sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong biscuit malt with astringent hops. Taste is biscuit, European hop bitterness. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, average-to-lively carbonation and very dry finish. Overall, pretty indistinguishable from numerous other middle-of-the-road beers.

Clear golden orange. 2 finger dense head. Smells like hay, orange peel and corn. Has a lager flavor. Creamy finish, corn, wheat, banana and oranges.

Fresh 12 oz. bottle gifted by Chalumeaux. Color is a Crystal clear piss gold without much head or retention. Aroma is slightly spicy east, Pilsner malt, and maybe mineral water.

The style itself is simple but this is very underwhelming to me. A little bit of yeast followed by a mild spice note with a very undetermined hop character. As I sipped it the hop astringency stacks up and becomes a pretty big turn off.
