Can from Covenhoven. Ommegang anniversary glass. Pale/gray, cloudy lemon straw body. Smells of lemon juice, faint florals, dried orange & salt. Tastes of watered down lemonade, pretty florals, yeast & salt. Strong acid. Carbonation dies really fast. Drinks like flavored water. Refreshing, but I would have never guessed this was a cider or was from Graft.

Super hazy, ultra pale golden? coloured body that shows straw and an almost white coloured body - interesting and wierd, but very nice, all without any head at all. Aroma of ginger, light citrus, apples of course, allspice, canella and a tiny bit of crushed star anise - nice and fragrant, just not much of it, very nice smelling throughout. Light to Medium-bodied; Super assertive gingery and spicey flavours at first with fresh apples, salt, brine and pungent alcohol all coming out at first with a dry flavour showing more spices than anything else, then a turn toward the ginger and pungent dryness, and finishing with some salt and brine characteristics that end slightly sweet, very robust and immensely enjoyable. Aftertaste is very drinkable with the refreshing apples at first, then spices, then salt, then a touch of sweetness, but hitting hard from the alcohol throughout with ginger as well on the end, leaving a nice tingle. Overall, probably one of the best ciders I’ve had in a very long time, or ever, perhaps. I was waiting to sample this one and it didn’t let me down - a great cider, that I would buy a lot more of, if I can find it...I may have to go back to Newburgh as well - nice job to Graft for this one! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 10-June-2017 for US$3,00 sampled at home in Washington on 27-August-2017.
