33cl bottle
Hay golden color, white head with medium retention, some lacing. Aroma has herbal notes, tropical fruits, mainly pineapple and melon. Flavor with a decent bitterness, herbal, slightly citrus and pineapple. Bittery final with fruity mouthfeel.

Very pale and hazy with lasting soapy head. Aroma and flavour have a little citrus peel. Quite dry. Mild flavour. Light, somewhat wheaty. Certainly doesn't feel like 8%.

Bottle from De Caigny (I think), a stubby one, with somewhat childish label... The beer itself is anything but childish, though. Irregularly but tightly lacing, egg-white, densely moussy head, dissipating in the middle but well-retaining otherwise, over a lightly hazy, warm golden blonde beer with olive greenish tinge. Bright, uplifting, subtly dank and rather tropical, citrussy aroma of freshly squeezed limes, pink grapefruit flesh, orange blossoms, lemon zest, herb cheese spread, overripe mango, papaja, tropical orchids, butter sauce, green olives, lighter hints of marijuana, withering basil leaves, dried ginger, cedar, bread crumbs. Clean but vivid fruitiness in the onset, pear, pineapple, mango, starfruit, mangistan, sweet orange juice - everything is there at once, sweetish with light green olive umami accents, softly carbonated, with a full, oily, resinous mouthfeel. Almost 'fluffy' white breadiness in the malt department, with lingering honeyish sweetness on top but ever so subtle, while the edges show a very light, fresh sourish accent. An attractive array of flavours, leading to a grand finale of hop brightness, a wave of retronasal citrus flesh, exotic peppers and cedar oil, depositing a long-stretched, drying, notably spicy, leafy bitterness on the root of the tongue, mixed with a glow of warming, wodka-ish alcohol. Some bready malt sweetishness and initial fruitiness linger too. I love a good classic DIPA amidst all that fruit juice hipness IPA has evolved to in recent years - this is just the kind of beer I needed on a rainy, gloomy January afternoon: bright, cheerful, luscious and generous, with a powerful hop bitterness at the end, cleverly positioned against mellow maltiness and juicy fruitiness that never becomes too sweet or exuberant, in spite of being colourful. Another very well made Swedish designer IPA, modern and classic at the same time. Delicious!

Aroma is yeast spices, mango, other tropic fruit, slight biscuit dough. Taste is very fruity, some esters, not too bitter, slight spices. Bitter finish. Oatmeal? Only medium drinkable. Still not bad. Rerate: I think I had it fresher this time. Nothing to add except yummy stuff. (Old rating was 3.5)
