I’m going to go right ahead and say let’s give up on the beer brewed with wild yeast from fruit. I’ve now had Vinland 2, Vinland 3, Flor Z and this, and while this was head and shoulders above Mystic’s, it still left alot to be desired. For starters, it ferments the shit out of the beer, leaving it with an overly light, very thin body. Then, there are plentiful cidery-like notes, a fair amount of acetic acid and a good dose of strange spicy phenols. Add to this a very fizzy carbonation and I’m left wondering why people keep trying to do it This one had some enjoyable lactic notes, as well as the remants of a good malt base, but in the end, it’s just too cidery, borderline astringent and lacking in any real malt complexity. Smells pretty good though, nice and sulfury!

Deutlich hopfiger, minimal säuerlicher Antrunk. Vollmundig hefig und bananig, etwas fruchtig, hell, etwas dumpf. Süffig, mittellanger Nachgeschmack. 9/8/9/9//9

Many thanks to Rian for sharing. Fresh and smooth beginning. Floral, hints of fruit, not too sour. Earthy, fresh, fruity-sweetish. No bitterness, smooth-sweetish aftertaste, hints of alcohol, not too deep, highly drinkable.

Aroma: The nose of this one is fairly funky/barnyard, as well tart fruit: apples, and berries
Appearance: It pours a completely clear orange-gold color with basically no head/lace
Flavor: In the flavor the fruit comes our more, it is quite tart, crisp, fruity, and also pretty funky
Palate: The body is fairly light, maybe a hint too fizzy, but it is very clean drinking and refreshing
Overall Impression: This is really quite good. So clean and refreshing to go with the lovely tart fruity and funky flavor combination. I could really drink quite a bit of this. The fruit adds a nice component here. I have nothing but nice things to say about this one.

Sampled at 3rd annual RI Brewfest. One of the standouts of the Brewfest. Nose of orange, pilsner malt and wheat. Taste has a mild pepper, wheaty yeast and a light hint blood oranges. Soft texture on the palate. Has a bit of orange pith, which kind of makes your mouth dry. Lighter in body with a very light funky barnyard hint hiding in the background. This is wonderful!
