Can pour into nonic pint glass from Hannaford. Appearance is hazy (fine dark particulates), light yellow-orange with fair sparkle, finger-width fizzy white head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is citrus, fruit and spices. Taste is citrus, resin with earth and herbs. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, soft carbonation and earthy, lightly bitter finish. Overall, I wish the taste had been as interesting as the aroma, but not bad for a session.

Can drunk 7/3/15
Clear golden liquid is topped by a small white head that recedes to cover.
Straightforward pale malts and citrusy hops in the nose have just a touch of light mango and even some pine. Don’t get the green tea in the nose, but perhaps it’s dry and clean. Hmmm, not much else to say about it.
The flavor is surprisingly bitter for a session IPA. Definitely must be some astringency from the green tea but it’s mostly masked by the lemon rind, grapefruit and light honey. Caramel notes combine with the citrus to produce the very common candied orange peel and the body is medium with maybe a bit more sweetness than is necessary, but by no means overly sweet. Certainly assertive and very clean, with tons of flavor for its abv. I like that the green tea isn’t overdone, but tons of astringency and bitterness linger on the finish. Watery texture, lively carbonation.

Location: 16 oz can from Nikki's Liquors, 3/30/15
Aroma: Lightly hoppy aroma, herbal notes, tea, and some tropical fruit.
Appearance: Unclear orange color, with a frothy off white head, and medium-heavy lace.
Flavor: The hops are pretty clean, the tea comes through, light sweet and light-mid bitter.
Palate: The mouthfeel is clean and refreshing, lively carbonation, and mid-dry finish.
Overall Impression: This one works pretty nicely. The flavor and aroma could have been a bit better, but the clean refreshing mouthfeel works great for a low alcohol beer, and it stays away from the wateriness that sometimes hurts the less food examples of this style. I'm not sure exactly how well the tea played here, it didn't add a whole lot, but it certainly didn't take away from the overall enjoyment.

Pours an amber from a can, aroma is a somewhat floral hoppiness with not much tea coming in, flavor is a standard bitter IPA. I think the tea comes out in the mouthfeel, somewhat full-bodied whereas most IPAs are a little light. Meh.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Tea and tropical fruit aromas. Sharp and dry with sweet tea and tropical fruit upfront turning quickly to a quite bitter and lasting earthy finish.

Tall boy. Mostly clear gold with ample carbonation. Aroma has a moderate herbal character with light citrus and very mild pine. Throughout the sip I detect a herbal / earthy lingering note that no doubt comes from the tea. The citrus is on the mild side with the pine a weak after-thought in the finish. The mouthfeel has a light zing that makes it lively. I finished the 16 oz. rather easy but I was not craving more afterwords. I like the creativity from the brewer.
