Poured from bottle thanks Airforcehops. Dark chocolate pour with a tan head. Aroma is raspberry caramel vanilla and alcohol. Taste is interesting toasted malt caramel alcohol and a nice after taste of raspberry jelly and peanuts. Very cool. --- Beer merged from original tick of Peanut Butter & Jelly Barrel-Aged Framinghammer on 13 Jul 2015 at 21:40 - Score: 8

Tap at ACBF. Aromas of rich chocolate and brown sugar with yup peanut butter and jelly. I couldn’t drink a lot of this but it was really interesting to try.

Pitch black, half a finer head, some reddish tints at the edges. Nose is lighter and a slightly jammy raspberry and cherry tone but not much. taste, similar to other framing, you don’t get a lot of mouthfeel or thick viscosity. but it does have some roast espresso, chocolate, half & half, I don’t get any peanut butter. this is very boozy, small traces of vanilla and coconut, i do get raspberry but it’s small.

Bottle shared by nmann08 at DC Pre-Thanksgiving tasting. Thanks! Poured a dark brown, almost black color with a small tan head. Aroam was some chocolate, some jelly. Light nutty notes. Flavor was roasted malts, some light peanut butter, jelly, bitter dark chocolate, vanilla, and some woody barrel notes. Interesting.

A lot of barrel here. Dark brown pour. Sweet boozy finish. Roast, with some light jelly. Not getting much peanut, thankfully. Bottle shared by nmann08.

Bottle at the RateBeer DC Tasting shared by nmann08. Black with tan head. Aromas of chocolate, jelly, light bourbon. Tastes of dark fruit, chocolate, jelly, light bourbon and nuts. Medium body with a dry finish. Medium carbonation. Kinda weird combination.

Bottle courtesy of Nate, thank you sir! Clear dark maroon brown color. Aroma of slightly boozy and nutty vanilla. Taste is weird herbal acetone, berries come in at the end. Strange.

Pours deep brown into a shaker. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Nutty raspberry aromas. Thick with nuts and caramel upfront turning to fruity raspberry before the hot vanilla alcohol burn finish.

Bottle thanks to Brian. Pours a dark brown with small tan head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong peanut and booze. Thick mouthfeel wit jammy booze and light peanut butter, oak.

Bottle picked up on the day of release and then traded to me by Rob B., thanks much! Black color not much head in the snifter. Aroma is bourbon over top chocolate, wood and a nice jammy berry note.
Drinking this fresh. Wow... It’s hot. Let me say if you score a bottle of this hold it for a bit!! The bourbon is bold and a tad overwhelming. I love the base porter here, burnt sugar, wood, marshmallow and dark roasted chocolate malt. The raspberry that was used does really come through in a jam aspect toward the back of the sip. The other element in the finish is the intense warming bourbon flavors. I like the jammy raspberry but I barely pick up any type of peanut butter because of the hot bourbon. I drank this whole bottle before and during dinner and it flat out bitch slapped me! I wish I had a second bottle to let mellow in the cellar because I’m sure the flavor would improve with 8-9 months of age, just intensely hot.
