So, finally I find another one of the horny series, been a while. From a bottle its darker than an IPA, almost brown, and very cloudy. Seems a little viscous too. Nose is big dull IPA fer sher. Taste is old mouth coating IPA, typical horny goat quality. Yes, very rude like most IPA but with this big dull unfresh feeling about it. Seems a little aged, better check the date code. No sign of a date code, yeah, probably just an old bottle. Difficult to say the least but hey, I don't like IPA so the more I don't like it, probably the better it is, what do you think? Me, I'm not impressed.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 8/27/14

Aroma: The nose is clean hops, some oddly lightly funky notes, and some pale malts
Appearance: This one pours a murky orange color with a frothy off-white head and light, drippy lace
Flavor: The flavor is much the same, unintentionally(?) funky, lightly sweet, and medium bitter
Palate: This one has an okay mouthfeel, average carbonation, and a dry, fairly off finish
Overall Impression: This one didn't really work for me. It feels both flawed and a little bit off. This beer is closer to a miss than a hit.

Draft at the source. From notes. Decently aggressive IPA. Citrus and tropical fruits with a decent malt backbone. Pretty darn good.

Deep amber coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, earth, light hops and a bit of a grassy smell. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and nutty flavours at first with a smooth hop flavour and some light sugars, followed by a subdued, yet noticeable yeastie finish. Aftertaste shows a rather well-rounded flavour with toasted malt and grain showing through most with the light hops finishing it off well. Overall, nothing crazy here, but a decently smooth IPA with more grain and caramelised sugar flavours than hop bitterness. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 25-April-2014 for US$2,60 sampled at home in Washington on 29-July-2014.

New Beer Distributors, NYC 12oz ($2.60): Pours copper with a frothy white head. Aroma is very, very hoppy, which leads me to believe that this was very fresh (also the fact that the label was made in 2014 seems to reinforce that). Aromas are grapefruit, some pine, minimal malts. Taste is rather bitter and leaves a hoppy aftertaste. Not too much in the tropical, sweet fruit, but more in the direction of pure grapefruit bitterness. This was pretty good.
