Location: Draft at the Haymarket, 5/28/14

Aroma: The aroma has plenty of spice, to go along with the grass hops, and bread
Appearance: It pours a darker copper color with an off-white head
Flavor: The taste is heavy spice, grass hop and bready malt notes as well
Palate: The body is medium, with a spicy tingly that take over the mouthfeel
Overall Impression: Lots of spice here. Pretty nice beer though. I enjoyed drinking it. Would happily try this one again in the futurre.

Bottle shared by hopicide, thanks for the opportunity Todd! Hazy golden color with a huge coriander and other spice aroma. Sweet malty with a spice edge to the flavor. Interesting beer, but a bit high on the spice scale for my tastes.

Smells are creamy and smooth, almost can’t describe it. Yes, from the first taste I say its creamy too! One of the more really creamy beers I’ve had for a while. Good creamy overall beer experience, yes creamy. Weirdly creamy, but interesting and fun. Liked this.

This brew pours a copper-amber color with a medium foamy off-white head that recedes gradually. Sticky partial rings of lacing on the glass. Floral aroma with some malt and fruit in the background. Medium-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, roast malt and subtle chili peppers. The finish is peppery with a juniper and malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Crisp light copper and golden coloured body with a bit of a bronzed glow and a thin, half a centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of bright grassy and grapefruity hops with a pinch of malt and some light sugars noticeable as well. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a very mild hop flavour, some touches of malt and not much else at all - very bland and weak. Aftertaste shows some very mild sweetness and grassy hop notes, but not much to write of. Overall, a pretty poor offering that is bland, uninspired and very simplex - no deep flavours at all or anything after the first five seconds. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Binny’s in Chicago (South Loop), Illinois on 21-August-2013 for US$1.67 sampled at home in Washington on 04-November-2013.

Draft. Pours a clear copper with a finger of white head. Aroma of grass and light citrus. Taste is light bitter. Grass and light orange citrus. Light bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, awesome. Great summer beer.

Draft at Tap House Grill, Westmont. Dark amber color with a thin but sturdy head. I smell a bit of fruit and think at once of the Nelson Sauvin hops I was introduced to recently. I now see the spice list in the description, but at the time, the only addition I could think of was maybe some lemongrass. A lingering bitter edge on the sides of my tongue. Sunny and complex hop and spice note. Some grassiness, some dried, bitter hops. Took me a while to finally notice the malt in the background: crisp like a lager, but still fully textured and sticky on the lips.

Sampled from the tap at the Mundelin beer fest. Pours a clear amber gold with an off-white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice grassy pine note with backing sweet bread. Flavor has a nice grassy note with backing light grains and a hint of light flora. Quite drinkable.
