Hazy deep amber colour, small creamy beige head, recedes to a lasting thin layer, light lacing. Light smokey nose, aroma roasted malts, smoked meat, caramel. Taste light heavy sweet, light bitter, roasted malts, smoked meat, light caramel, bit of peat. Retronasal smoke, lingering sweet and light bitter aftertaste, roasty and smoky notes. Medium body, watery to oily texture, average carbonation, Peculiar brew, rich taste, more like a rauchbier and certainly not a bad one.

Bottle @ home shared with Inoven. Lightly hazy dark red to dark amber color, average sized off-white to beige head. Aroma is sweet, sugary, overripe sweet prunes and other dark fruits. Taste malts, dark fruits, sweetish with a slight bitter hint towards the finish, overripe fruits, raisins, brown candy sugar and a light hint of smoke in the background. Body is medium, texture is smooth and lightly oily, carbonation is soft. Quite nice, a Scotch Ale with a slight twist.
