Bottle. Dark amber in color. Very large head. Aroma is weird. Spicy yet kind of slight funk. Taste is spice yet strong hop finish.

Pours a brown/black from a bottle, aroma is of a licorice-y brown sugar. Flavor is cola, specifically moxie, very sweet and a little bitter. Okay beer.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass. Aroma is bread and caramel malts with citrus and floral hops. Appearance is light hazy dark copper with trace sparkle, minimal white ring of a head, no lacing. Taste is moderately sweet malt with spice and balanced with floral/citrus bitter. Palate is medium bodied with average texture and average to lively carbonation with roasted, lightly bitter finish. Overall, not a real standout but a nice winter beer.

Dark Red Amber Color, Huge Foamy Head, Lots Of Thick Soapy Lacing. Aroma of Spice, Cooked Vegetables, Hops. Sweet Malt, Cooked Vegetables, Spices, Hops.Somewhat Reminds Me of Pumpkin Beers. Hides High ABV Real Well. Very fitting to have it on a last day of inter although we have a long way to go this year, No spring in Sight Yet... While this brew was just OK on First Sips, It Grew on me. It may not be my favorite ,It grew on me and I did enjoy it. I dig it. Worth A Try.

Winter 2013/2014 bottle, drunk 4/6/14
Clear, auburn-mahogany body is topped by a fair amount of light beige head that recedes slowly to cover.
Hard crystal malts, some pepper and bitter, slightly pine-laden hops in the nose leave little room for much nuance or livliness. Some slight breadiness and stale, pre-oxidative notes are quite prevalent. No alcohol, but it’s not the cleanest of noses despite what has to be a pretty high filtration level.
Flavor is equally uninspiring. Hard, lifeless crystal malts are scratchy, dry and the spritzy carbonation is too aggressive and yet not tight at all. Some odd pine resin, with little actual hop flavor and light licorice/black pepper on the finish. Bitter, astringent and with these terribly hard, scratchy malts and no suppleness/sweetness whatsoever. Heavily lifeless feeling, no doubt thanks to the filtration.
The disparity between Cisco’s 12oz bottles and their 750mL bottle line is laughable.

On tap at the Cisco Brew Pub, Boston Logan Airport. An attractive copper colour with a ring of cream head that laced the glass nicely; spicy malt aroma; smooth with a caramel taste; and a dry finish with a touch of spice. Warming and satisfying.

12oz bottle. Deep red-brown body, looks unfilterd. Lacy off-white/beige head. Spicy ginger cinnamon allspice aroma. While it is spicy, the big malts really reign it in. Hefty, but drinkable full body. Solid offering.

Nice slightly hazy bronze and copper coloured body with a very nice ruby and orange tint with a thinnish tan head - pretty nice looking. Aroma of malt, caramel, toffee, nuts, earth, hints of metal and a decent amount of alcohol tucked inside. Medium-bodied; Assertive earthy and metallic malty flavours at first with a deep toffee and caramelised sugar flavour and some harsh bitterness near the end with earth coming out most. Aftertaste has the slightest hint of spices, but this is all about the caramelised sugars and the earthy malt with hints of peat and the smallest amount of hop bitterness thrown in. Overall, a decent beer - good for the wintertime, but not stellar by any means. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 13-July-2013 for US$2.00 sampled at home in Washington on 25-July-2013.
