Rum barrel-aged sour stout
This rum barrel-aged take on our classic sour stout, Tart of Darkness, is not to be missed. Brewed in the likeness of our rich imperial stouts, this masterpiece was aged exclusively in choice rum barrels to gain tartness and complexity. Enjoy this bold balance of tart, rich, and slightly sweet decadence.

Bottled, Adam Chandler on the share. 2018 vintage. Aroma is rum and funky oak. Flavor is rather sour. The Tart of Darkness base is strong. The rum is mild. Massive tartness. Not my thing at all.

75CL, acquired via RS. Pitch black oily. Smells like tart of darkness. I smell like rum. Insanely sour. Only get the rum flavor at the finish. Pickle juice? Booze? Rum finish.
