Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to snifter.
Appearance: jet black in the pour and in the glass with a finger and a half's worth of khaki foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace.
Aroma: sweet and roasty coffee tones, maple syrup at a great level, and woody barrel edges
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to woody sweet and semi-spicy toned underneath, finishes with the maple and the coffee roasty vibe
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper, some smoothness but a slight spicy barrel edge making a decent play to undermine the smoothness
Overall: I say a very nicely done barrel aged impy stout.

On tap at Tavern on the Lake in Hightstown, NJ. Opaque black pour. Creamy tan head is minimal. Aroma of roasted malt, oak and bourbon. Not much maple on nose. First sip is oakey with boozy, whiskeyish notes. A hint of maple syrup comes through in middle. Soft, creamy mouthfeel. Very drinkable and perhaps a good substitute for your coffee at Sunday morning breakfast. Very tasty.

500ml bottle [8.5% abv]. Jet black colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. Sweet-ish, chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, treacle, maple syrup, dark caramel, vanilla. Taste is sweet-ish, slightly roasty, chocolately dark malty, notes of dark chocolate, dark caramel, maple syrup, hints of Bourbon, vanilla, a touch of oak, bitter hoppy counterpart. Creamy-oily texture, super-soft, smooth and silky palate, soft carbonation, lingering, minimally cloying finish. Excellent mouthfeel, superb balance. Pretty good.

Taster pour on tap at NH Brewfest. Appearance is very, very dark brown with no sparkle, thin, light brown head with fair retention and no lacing. Aroma is bourbon, dark fruit, mild chocolate. Taste is earthy roasted malts, light sweet and tart fruit and boozy second half, though not identifiably strong bourbon. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, good but not stellar. Not sure I like this as much as regular Brigadeiro.

Thanks AFH, black in the bottle, reddish edges. This smells fantastic. maple syrup, cocoa, wood. smells awesome! maple up front and a long lingering maple and birch syrup finish with brown sugar sweetness, coconut almond joy flavor, very faint pine bitterness and 3 musketeer bars.

50cl bottle pours a muddy, dark brown with some clumpy, beige head. Nose has marzipan, licorice, booze, sumac, malt, cream soda. Flavor is cream soda, herbs, rootbeer. Finishes sweet.
