Thank you for sharing German speaking RB Crew! Sampled bottled @ ZBF 2017. Dark brown amber, tanned head. Nose is weird, heavy licorice, weirdly bitter with some bark. Taste is big leaves, licorice, herbal, caramel, sugar, prune,... Body is licorice & leaves. Too licorice but it isn’t all bad, doable & better than average for this brewery for sure.

Stout from a new micro brewery brewed with black oat. Thin, light beige head, lacing; clear dark reddish bronze colour, not black and translucid, but dark enough to be credible as a stout, I suppose. Aroma has dried banana, coffee grounds, dry leaves, caramel, hazelnuts and some DMS (cooked cabbage) but not too disturbing. Sweetish banana-like onset, almond, very caramelly, soft and somewhat resiny mouthfeel, slick and velvety (oats effect?), a bit nutty with a touch of roasted coffee grounds bitterness but gently so, as well as some deeply buried, leafy hops. Very old school Flemish stout, in the sweet stout tradition, but with more alcohol than was the case traditionally.
