Draft at Row 34, Boston. Darker golden color, thin fleeting head in the snifter. Aroma has fruit phenols from the yeast with small notes of sweet grain.

The flavor is heavy on fruits, apricots, grapefruit, lemons with a moderate amount of grain and dough like character that gives a chewy, more than medium mouthfeel. I don’t get much of any hops in this brew, it is yeast heavy with just a ton of fruit. My date really enjoyed this so she drank more than half the snifter. That being said, I would happily sample this again but I’m going to actively seek out a bottle or go out of my way for it.

Draught at Deep Ellum, 6/13/15
Bright marigold/hay yellow body shows a moderate amount of haziness with a small white head atop showing moderate retention.
Juicy hops in the nose. Reminds me much of Night Shift and Trillium’s "Farmhouse" ales. Not a jab at any of them, just very dominated by the American hops. Thankfully, they’re very enjoyably bright, adding plentiful stone fruit, meyer lemon and ruby red grapefruit. No resin/pine and no alcohol noted. Nor is there much Belgian quality to it, or it’s quite masked in the aroma, if so. Malts show a bit of honey and graham cracker, with a touch of dough. But no blandness or weirdly heavy esters. Though Mystic’s belgian ales can be a bit on the sweet side, they’re almost always very clean.
More rustic in the flavor, thankfully, with light Belgian esters producing a fruit assortment that is quickly joined and overtaken by the juicy and citric hops. Some chewy malts are very pleasant; obviously well extracted and well-attenuated adding a doughy, freshly baked country bread element with touches of honey and light vanila. Oranges, lemons and stone fruits balance, adding bitterness and ample flavor, on the finish. Carbonation is moderate, could be, perhaps, a bit tighter. No alcohol or flaws noted.
