07/2017 @home 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte. Dark brown with nice tanned head. Nose is very fruity, dark malts. Taste is dark malts, roast, some chocolate, bitterhops, some citrus. Nice one!

Fles gedronken in m’n weekend. Het is een donker bruin bier met een dunne bruine schuimkraag. Aroma is hoppig en een beetje moutig. Smaak is hoppig en gebrand. Nasmaak is bitter en gebrand.

Zwart bier met licht bruine schuimkraag. Smaak is licht bitter hoppig en licht zoetzuur met iets van chocolade, lichte rook en karamel.

Bottle in garden, 16th June 17. Pours a light black. Aroma is roasted malts, dark chocolate, hint of citrus, some bitterness. Taste is roasty, some citrus, cocoa, medium bitter. Light mouth feel. Not a bad BIPA

Bottle from Burg, BB 12 2018, 33 cl sample. Slight hazy copper to dark brown color, medium frothy head. Aroma of blackcurrant and cassis, slight pine and a touch of dark chocolate. Soft to medium bitterness, cassis, slight cookie sweetness, bit dry and salty licorice. Bit strange because of the combination of quite some cassis and blackcurrant together with salty licorice (heksenhyl). Not a typical black IPA, but quite tasty.

Flesje gedeeld met Benzai. Donkerbruin bier met matig schuim. Aroma is hoppig en een beetje moutig. Smaak is fruitig, hoppig en zoetzuur. Nasmaak is bitter en zuur, maar niet slecht.

Bottle shared by Inoven. Dark brown color, medium to full sized beige to light brown head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, hops, iron. Hmm appears slightly old. THT says December 2018 though. Tastes about the same: malts, dark malts, a bit earthy, a lot of iron, some hops, moderately bitter, mainly malt bitter. Decent attempt for a Belgian brewery, but not a very good Black IPA in general.

Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, slight hoppy. Bitter, roasted malty. Breadish and roasted malty finish.

Thank you for sharing German speaking RB Crew! Sampled draft @ ZBF 2017. Dark red brown, tanned head. Nose is thinner gravy, herbal, sweet, mocha, mellow roast, bit mocha sweet. Taste is sweet grain, weird bitter leaves, herbal, faint gravy, mocha, bit sweet,... Thin grainy mocha body. Messy, wouldn’t call it a BIPA but it is a decent porter / stout.
