Can (1/3/25) from Table and Vine, W. Springfield. Lightly hazy, dark brown/mahogany with light sparkle, ample head with excellent retention and light lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt and toffee. Taste is strong, deeply roasted malt (some elements of char), burnt toffee, late baker's chocolate. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and dry finish as taste with lingering moderate bitterness. Sometimes, it's nice not to have the most complicated adjuncted stout or IPA with 8 flavors.

Bottled December 2015, shared by Brian on 10/15/16.
Dark mahogany-to-ebony body shows an indetermined clarity with a tan head atop showing moderate retention.
Chocolate and plentiful coffee mix about in the nose as caramel and vanilla balance the equation fairly deftly. Light earthiness, hints of prune and raisin but fairly dominant in the chocolate-caramel department with no alcohol and a lingering coffee character.
Medium-bodied with chocolate and light coffee notes, hints of plum, raisin and soft vanilla. Caramel sweetness is moderate and the carbonation a bit loose. No flaws, I donโ€™t think, but itโ€™s a little lackluster all-around. Seems very dull and the texture and carbonation are thin and loose.

Dark brownish red. Aroma is a little difficult to manage since weโ€™re cooking but it has a nice sweetness. cocoa, thin despite the big head, it actually has a medicinal maybe turpentine flavor at the end. Creamy, coffee with a little licorice.

750 ml bottle shared by Willrunforbeer, much thanks. Aroma is dry roast, ale yeast and char. The body is about average for a light gravity stout. Dry roast with some chocolate. Pretty standard overall.
