Munich-Style Helles
Paulus (pronounced Pow'loos) is typical of the highly drinkable golden lagers brewed for fall Bavarian festivals. Malt forward with Noble hops to provide balance, Paulus reminds us of some of the great times we've had in Munich. Prost!

Reviewed from notes.
Can to mug.
Appearance: clear yellow color with a two finger white frothy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: earthy to slightly grassy hops with a clean crackery/biscuity malt
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet quality; finishes malty with a touch of earthy dryness
Texture: light bodied; sessionable; clean smoothness and nothing distracting; good carb
Overall: nice enough little Helles lager I could give another shot to on down the line.

Frothy, clear, medium gold pour @Grand Delancy. Smell is Euro lager sticky. Smooth corn, black pepper, slightly medicinal, silky malt liquor feels. Okay to good.

Pint can from Beer Run, 5/18/23. Hazy pale orange, medium white head, poor retention. Aroma of grass, Noble hops, crackery malt. Taste is grass, lemon, Noble, pale malt. Dry, crisp, lingering bitterness. Just a touch thin. Nice.

16oz can from Tavour. Golden pour with a sturdy white foamy head. Grainy, bready aroma, crackers. Taste is biscuity, bread crust, has a dry feel that leads up to a crisp bitter bite.
