On tap at Blackback Pub.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a semi-dark brown close to black color with a one finger white foamy head that quickly dissipated. Lacing was light and semi-messy.
The smell started off with some roasty peanuts, light vanilla, subtle graham cracker, sly chocolate.
The taste was mostly sweet with that graham cracker flavor trying to give a lighter cracker-like balance. Chocolate comes back slightly. Subtle vanilla to chocolate aftertaste with a smooth dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation rides fairly light. Subdued bitterness.
Overall, nice imperial porter for the most part, I could see myself coming back to this.

2016 750mL drunk 2/20/16. Beige head runs to the edges immediately. Lightly hazy mahogany. Raisins, prunes, ummm caramel. Not much? Kind of tannic grain notes and mildly lactic. Bitter in the mouth with wort, vanilla and caramel. Popcorn. Moderate carbonation. Not much goin on here.....not boozey but im sure this is not 12%

750 ml bottle thanks to Adam C. Deep brown color, thin white head. Aroma is dehydrated peanut butter, and mild roasted malt.
The flavor is chalky peanut butter, weak roast, thin mouthfeel. Also has a strange off note that I can’t place. Massive dehydrated peanut butter. Meh.

75CL bought at the White River Junction VT Co-Op.
A - Pours with brown and almost translucent color. red and brown throughout.
S - Smells a little like ethanol / nail polish. maybe some chocolate and peanut butter. what’s up, guys?
T - yeah, some bitterness, chocolate, tartness like grape and oh my god am I in a Nail salon? Why do I taste nail polish? Stop it!!!!
M - A little creamy on an intense swish but overall not too crazy or special
O - This was a total disappointment. Possibly the worst BBC beer I’ve had.
