A smooth and creamy dark ale full of deep roasted malt character, yet nimble on the palate. Chocolate and coffee notes are balanced with a sly hop bitterness. Forget your superstitions and cross paths with this black cat more than once.

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 27 Jan 2023) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, dark chocolate and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, dark chocolate, black bread, liquorice and a mild roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Solid and well balanced porter. Very nice.

16 ounce can. Translucent dark brown pour. Frothy tan head. Sweet roasted malt aroma. Flavor follows nose. Sweet roasted malt hints at chocolate and black coffee. Medium bodied and easy drinking.

$3.45 pint can, WW. Dark brown with an inch of beige head. Nose is dust, roasted malt, minor coffee. Coffee, light rose, roasted malt, molasses. Dry, some interesting flavors, but missing a rug to tie the beer together. A bit too light in body as well.
