Almost black. Espresso stubborn head. Nose has a tart raspberry and like with melon. Kind of balsamic. This isn’t a sour is it? Taste is nice good roasted character with char oak and ash with licorice and a consistent sweet tart sour. Not in your face but it’s a solid tart character. I like it

On tap at Harry’s Hofbrau. Clear, chestnut with minimal head from the alcohol. This beer screams booze, booze, booze. The barrel really takes over here and it is sugary, perhaps a little under attenuated. Some moderate chocolate, roast and vanilla. I love the Drakonic, but this is a little too much booze and not enough RIS goodness and rich complexity.

Tap at Barrel House. Pours opaque black with a small brown head and great lacing. Aroma is coffee, tobacco, brandy. Flavor is the same, lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Medium plus body. Does not seem to be a lot of change of character from the Brandy barrels in this one.
