12/17/2009 Picked this up on a whim. Pours a deep golden color with a stingy white head that dissipates quickly and leaves minimal lacing. The aroma is overwhelmingly ginger with some honey and lemon overtones. At first the smell reminded me of the Japanese steak house then I imagined halls honey lemon cough drops. Taste is more ginger with honey and lemon in there for fun. I got a hint of alcohol in an otherwise dry finish. Slightly syrupy/watery mouthfeel, medium to thin body and carbonation. Well this one isn’t one of my favorites. It grew on me after a while, but reminded me a lot of some gruits I’ve tried. One and done.

22 ounce bottle courtesy of Butters. Thanks! Sampled at the 11th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering, 4/17/10. Pours a lemon yellow color with a a very light haziness. Medium head with good head retention and lacing. Aroma of ginger, citrus, kitchen cleaner and bread. The taste is candied ginger and citrus with just a faint medicinal quality. Medium bodied. Not too great.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Chevy Chase, 3/9/10

Aroma: Aroma is overpoweringly ginger, with some other spices and some lemon
Appearance: Pours a clear golden-orange color with a thin, fizzy white head
Flavor: Flavor is rather sweet, lots of ginger and some lemongrass
Palate: This one is fairly light, with a tingly mouthfeel, and a fizzy carbonation
Overall Impression: This one is fairly one-dimensional, most likely intentionally so. It's pretty flavorful for what it is, tons of ginger and quite sweet. Maybe a little too sweet for my taste, and I can't imagine drinking this one if you dislike ginger. It left me wanting some variety of Asian food...

**Just submitted a photo for this one as well, as it was missing one.

22oz bottle shared at the DC Local tasting. Pours a totally clear, yellow gold with a cloudy white head. Strong aroma of ginger, all spice, nutmeg and one person remarked "a little household cleaner." Flavor is big, right on the tongue, raw ginger. There’s some sweetness too. Dry finish with some spicy ginger heat. If you like ginger then this is for you.

Pours a slightly hazed gold into a shaker. Bright white micro head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Immediate ginger aromas with some hidden wheat. Crisp ginger from front to back with some wheat fullness into a lasting ginger burn. Very nice.
