Triple Bag is a small-batch beer brewed from a single infusion that uses only the first running of the mash. The resulting brew contains only the purest part of the grains, which yields a uniquely rich, dense flavor.

At 11% ABV, this brew is an example of brewing purity that is rarely experience by those other than brewers themselves.

Almost no head or very much carbonation at all, I thought I had a bad bottle actually, but there’s just enough really. Dark brown, aroma is some sweet malts, dark fruit, chocolate, vanilla, taste is the same, easy to drink, not a lot of abv burn, very good.

Pours a clear deep brown color with a smallish tan head that recedes quickly. Smells of caramel and cherries mostly, with hints of prunes and alcohol thrown in for good measure. Sweet, fruity, syrupy flavor. Lots of caramel and dark fruits with a bit of alcohol burn. Sweet sticky mouthfeel, low to moderate level of carbonation, with a medium to thick body. Decent brew that I enjoyed sipping for a couple of hours but a touch to high with the alcohol burn.

Draft at VabF 2011: Pine and cherries on the nose. Clear auburn, thin yellow head. full body. Cherry flavor, hot. Vanilla finish. Original and tasty

Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear strawberry red color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel, bananas and a faint bit of granola. Fairly weak aroma overall. The taste is caramel, berries, toffee, booze, apple and banana. Medium bodied. Fairly smooth, but the alcohol is a bit harsh.

on tap @Philly BeerFest III–pours an off white head and copper color. Aroma is medium malt-peat, copper. Taste is medium malt-peat, copper-hops bite, some raisin, alcohol.

Pours deep amber into a snifter. Off-white head with good retention leaves no lacing. Sweet caramel and alcohol aromas. Dry and sweet from front to back. Alcohol burn in the finish.

A hazy golden orange ale with a thin off white head. A catnip hops aroma with light fruity notes. In mouth, sweet candy sugar, hops and oranges. Nice and warming. On tap at Vermont Brewers Fest 2008, July 19, 2008.
