A ddep red beer with a nice light brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of nuts. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and nuts, leading to a dry end.

Nearly black pour with nearly no head - mildly sweet aroma with brown sugar, coffee, some cookie/pastry-ish smell - very roasty flavor, some sweetness up front, some plum and chocolate - smooth mouthfeel - a very solid porter, but it doesn’t really stand out.

Brown colour with a super thick dense light brown head. Sweet fresh fragrant malty aroma. Medium-bodied; Sweet taste of caramel, roasted malt and bananas. Bubble gum and tutti-frutti tastes line the palate. Overall, a decent beer-a bit different than the norm. Very nice to try this beer! I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Chevy Chase Wine & Liqour in Washington and sampled it on 30-November-2003.

Nice dark robe, opaque, with a nice chocolaty aroma. Full rich body, with some good chocolate moka finish, some of the bitterness coming more from the dark malt.

Thanks to dberger624 for this Jersey Porter. This was pretty good all around but nothing spectacular. Pours an opaque black with a ruby tinge. Medium thick foamy beige head that lasted quite nicely. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is a little thin and tastes like mocha and malt. Hops lend to a slightly bitter finish. Not too bad but I have had better.

Dark brown. Creamy and oaty. Not the most complex of porters, but nice. ..

A bottle conditioned porter. Odd for the style. Very dark with red tint - but not the expected opaque black of a porter Poured with alot of carb but no head to speak of. Clean, slightly sweet scent - barely detectable. First sip: nicely bitter, maltiness develops. More body than expected after looking at it in the glass. Midway, the maltiness disappears, becomes dry and one-sided: a mild roasted bitter flavor. Good but not exciting
