Schönes Braun, kein Schaum. Aroma nussig, malzig. Im Trunk malzig süß, etwas wässrig. Hinten leicht bitter. Könnte mehr Bumps haben.

Bottle. Pours with a brown body (medium clarity), tan head that is quick to fade. Aromas are of chocolate, nutty, brown sugar, fudge, leather, and a bit of metal. Flavors are nutty, tobacco, a bit husky, chocolate, roasty. Astringent. Medium bubbles and body. On the drier side of things.

Drank this immediately after their pale ale. On draft at a small town outside of Yosemite National Park. Deep reddish-brown color with a beige head. Lots of roasted malt on the nose. Full flavor of coffee and roasted malt.

12oz bottle courtesy of jake65. Thanks Jake! Pours a deep brown, translucent body with a creamy, active, slightly beige head. Nose is almost absent, I suppose if you dig you get some lingering sweetness. Flavor is really where this one goes awry, sour flavor, no sweet malts like other browns. If you can get past the sourness there’s a bit of nuttiness that’s totally overwhelmed. Not even drinkable enough to be a session beer. Something wrong with this recipe.

Draft. Brown beer. Roasty chocolate flavor. Light aroma. Medium-light body. Easy drinking and refreshing. Malts come through.

Nut brown. Mild, nutty with hint of acidity. Not the most flavourful of ales.
