Cask conditioned at The Last Drop Inn, York Breweryยs first pub. Deep golden / amber colour, creamy head. Pleasant malty aroma with some fruity hops. Flavourwise this is a decent standard bitter with a smooth mouthfeel and decent hops in the finish. Okay.

Half pint cask, served by air pressure dispense at The Bow Bar. The body colour is copper-golden. Lacing head. Weak smell of citric fruits. Light taste of leafy hops throughout. Short bitter tail. Watery in the mouth [Edinburgh, 26.10.2008].

Cask gravity at Kingston BF 2007. Copper colour with lasting beige head. Citrusy bitter. Slightly creamy in mouth. Hop on finish is reasonably harsh. I like the York beers, but this is only slightly better than ordinary. Earthy strongish hop lifts it.

Cask at Last Drop Inn York 3 May 06. Golden colour. Citrus dominating the aroma. A bit unbalanced. Not the best beer from an otherwise good brewery.

Sampled cask conditioned. Amber coloured. Flowery aroma. Light bodied, cleadn, dry and slightly salty. Quite bitter finish. A tasty uncomplicated bitter.
