Cask @ Crown and Anchor, Welby. Pours clear and golden. Lemon aroma and creamy bitter taste with a very thick mouthfeel. Ok but nothing spectacular

Cask, Crown Posada, Newcastle. Amber looks with a small white head. Some ok hops in the nose and flavour. Some balancing malts. In reasonable nick. Drinkable and refrershing but lacking any real character.

Pint during Nov 2006: Drank in The Crown Inn, Oakengates, from a handpull without a sparkler fitted. Light amber, almost golden in colour, on top sat a small blanket of foam which was white and stayed for most of the pint before wisping away to nothing. A slight hoppy aroma, not to overpowering, but definately a hoppy nose to it. Tasted gritty and earthy with a late hop flavour coming through towards the end. Dry mouthfeel, which added to the overall taste, I enjoyed this pint. Not as hoppy as some IPA’s, but still a very good beer.

Cask handpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Gold colour with lasting creamy beige head. Took severa pours to settle. Bit of diacetyl on aroma, butterscotch. Some good tingly hop on tip of tongue. Creamy and moderately full in mouth. Butterscotch aroma fades and you’re left with a creamy pleasant bitter with some hop. Not quite hoppy enough for a true IPA.

[Cask at GBBF 2004] An orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is of oranges and diacethyl. The flavor is hoppy with notes of oranges and a dry hoppy and grassy end.

Clear golden color, short white head. Skunky aroma of english hops. Taste is sharp and sour, vinegar like. Dry hopped, bitter taste. Dry palate.

Sampled cask conditioned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm.
Bronze colour. Citrusy hop aroma. Light bodied with nice soft mouthfeel. Very aromatic with long, citrusy bitter finish. An excellent pint!
