Draught@Akkurat, Stockholm. Brown colour, mediumsized longlasting off-white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is floral, some honey, mild nutty tones with some smoked wood and mild toasted tones. Flavour is mildly smoked wet wood, spruce, some citrus, mild nutty tones with some floral and wooden tones too.

Dark amber to brown color. Nice malty and smokey aroma and taste. Maybe not enough complex, but pleasant.

Draught, alc. 5.6%
Nut brown, small creamy off-white head, some lace. Flowery hoppy nose. Honeyish, Cascade hops are evident in the flavor. Medium-bodied hoppy, like drinking hoppy British bitter. Smoke is quite weakly underlying there. "Svensköl" is very misleading name :)

Slightly artificial but pleasant citric nose - like a soda popsicle. Cloudy brown. Citric fruit center, a bit spice. Quite nice.

An opaque brown beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is of roasted bread, prunes, and chocolate - and so is the flavor, but the body is thin.

Ruby brown colour. Slightly phenolic - just a whiff of smoke. Toasty flavour with crystal malts and a hint of smoke. Doesn’t have much focus, though. It’s just a bunch of random flavours.

Sampled draught at Svensk Fatölsfestival 2003, Nynäshamn (5.7%)
Mahogany coloured. Light smokey aroma. The initial flavour is Gotlandsdricke like, in it's heavy smokiness. The mouthfeel is clean, and there would be room for more maltiness. The finish is long and smokey. It is complex and unusual, but perhaps a bit raw still.
Re-rated cask conditioned at Nynäshamn Real Ale Festival 2004.
The recipe has been slightly altered since I first tried it, and now includes honey. It's cloudy nut brown with smokey heather nose. Malty, woody and really smokey. Juniper and heather dominate. the malt profile is clean, and it would gain fram further conditioning. The finish is salt and bitter.
