This English-style Summer Ale has a bright golden color as the name indicates. Cascade hops impart a floral aroma that is accented by citrus notes lent from Chinook hops. The hop flavors mingle with with premium pale malted barley to create a flavorful ale that is crisp and refreshing.

Pizzeria Paradiso, Alexandria tap ($6): Pours a golden colour with a white head. Aroma is floral hops. Taste is kind of watery and the body is a bit thin. There is a minor amount of bitterness. The malt backbone is way too thin in my opinion. It was a pleasant beer to drink and it grew on me a little bit by the time I finished, but from Green Flash I expect more.

Draught @ Horse Brass Pub. Rated on 11.07.2012
Aroma is fruity with pineapples and resin. Flavour is sweetiwh with pineapples, some stale and a bit metallic savor that turns malty towards the finish. Also some resin. Good, although could be more refreshing.

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of peaches as well as other fruits, and hints of hops. The flavor is sweetmalty with strong notes of peaches and hints of hops. Thanks Alex (fiulijn) for sharing.

Bottle courtesy of Wickedpete: Poured a deep golden color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some nice lacing. Aroma of crisp dry hops with some light bitterness. Taste is a nice mix between some crisp hops with light bitterness and a medium sweet malty body. Full body for the style with some good carbonation. Very refreshing and well balance for the style.

Hazy golden color. The aroma is hoppy, but also with some paper feeling. Dry toffee flavor, and quite strong and good hopping, but without any vibe…

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of fiulijn. Clear, deep golden with a creamy, white head leaving some lacing. Fresh aroma with both citrus and peach. Medium body with lightly sweet malts, but otherwise dominated by very fresh accents of the aroma hops that also leave a solid dose of bitterness. 171107

This beer has quite an assortment of citrus aromas: pineapple, orange, and lemon peel, but mostly pineapple. It pours a hazy gold with an enormously thick creamy head. The bottle I opened had settled for a few days but foamed over profusely. It starts with orange peel then barley rich grains. It ends with a brief but noticeable tin flavor, which quickly gives way to fading hops.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a very thin off-white head. Aroma of strong fresh hops, metal, nickel, malt and even more strong scents of hops mixed with metal. Medium-bodied; Super strong bittering taste up front from the hops along with a potent metallic twang afterwards. Aftertaste shows citrus, floral and especially piney hops coupled with more of the unfortunate metallic tastes. Overall, still a very nice and strongly hopped beer - definitely one to try. Overall, one that was almost more reminiscent of an IPA than most other APAs, but very good - especially for hop lovers! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 18-April-2007.
