An overwhelming earthy floral aroma leaps out of the glass and slaps you in the face due to the huge amounts of whole leaf Golding hops used to dry hop the beer. A spicy hop flavor arises from late flavor additions in the kettle and through more whole leaf hop cones in our hop-back. A combination of select specialty barleys imparts a soft, fruity maltiness.

Bottled, thanks SpringsLicker! Hazy orange small head. Light orangey nose. Sweet with clean rounded mouthfeel. Really hoppy with salty, bitter finish. Solid.

This is my pick of the GA IPA's and will rate right up with all of them. It starts with an assertive hop presence in the aroma which is clean, floral, and refreshing. The hop bittereness is ever so slightly more present that the malty character of this beer. Hops and malt harmonize right to the dry crispy finish of this beer. Under rated.

Golden colour with a decently thick white head. Fairly strong grapefruity hop characteristics in the aroma. Light to Medium-bodied; Grapefruity hop flavour but not strong at all...fairly mild. Aftertaste shows a bit of the hops with an equal balance of malt. Overall, a decent IPA, but more reminiscent of an APA in my opinion. I had this beer on draught at Summit's in Sandy Springs (Atlanta), Georgia on 25-September-2003.

Thanks belgianhomebrew! This is the first beer I have poured that practically exploded out of the bottle and overflowed. I am talking 1/4 beer, 3/4 head in the glass. It took me a good 5 minutes just to get the whole thing poured. Worth the wait? Yes. Very hoppy aroma. Carbonation made for a lively drink, it almost felt like the beer was trying to escape my mouth as I drank it. Excellent bitter hops flavor with a dry finish. Next time I will drink this one from a bucket, but I will still enjoy it.
