On tap Pyramid Seattle location Pours out a amber topped with a small white head. Aroma of sweet roast malt. Tast was more of the roast malts along with a little nut. Not to bad.

The aroma is slight, but sweet with notes of alcohol. The color is an opaque red with a small fast disappearing head. The flavor is weird: sour with powerful notes of alcohol and somewhat lesser notes of coffee. The mouthfeel is sticky. The alcohol is too pronounced.

Dark ruby brown color with a medium light tan head. Thin and quick lacing. The aroma is smoky malt and caramel. Medium-bodied with a big malt profile, and very little else in the flavor aside from a hint of caramel. The finish is sweet and lasting. Kind of a one-trick pony with the malt but it is smooth and drinkable.

Bottled. Mahogany colour, no head. Aroma of green apples. Sweet and very woody. Syrupy, clean, mouthfeel. Malty but mellow. The woodiness is nice, but it’s extremely one dimensional. There’s nothing under this kilt.
