Don't let the color fool you - this porter is rich but not overpowering with a head that lingers all the way down the glass.

Draught at the brewpub
Black color, creamy head (nitro). Very nice aromatic coffee in the nose. Smooth, creamy, with a soft body and good flavor of roasted malt, not too aggressive. Coffee-like final. I’m surprised that the beer I prefer in this brewery is a Porter (that means the others are really not so good).

On tap at Steamworks, Vancouver. Deep brown with red edges. Lasting tan head. Chocolatey porter, bit powdery. Powdery feel on finish. Delicious.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear dark brown, creamy head. Lightly phenolic coffee aroma. Dryish and somewhat fruity with notes of coffee, chocolate and molasses. Creamy mouthfeel. The finish has more spun sugar than bitterness.

Light bodied and milk chocolatish. I don't know why they rotate this with the Stout, as the stout is their best regular beer!

Dark chestnut colour. Aroma is slight, with coffee and toast. Flavour immediately shows roast malt acidity. Creamy texture. Sweet demerara notes. Overall a very vague beer - trying to evaluate this is like talking to someone who is staring at the ceiling.
