Keg at the Rake, 06/11/19. Pitch black with a decent tan cap that retains well ... full glass lacing ensues. Nose is red berry fruits, pine needle, mellow roast, charr, cocoa sprinkle. Taste comprises dried fruits, pine, hint of liquorice, charr, burnt toffee, pine dusting, light herb and spruce. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light boost offered cloaked in dusty hop bitterness. Solid CDA.

Bottle at home from La Cave a Bulles, 16th March 18. Pours a dirty, murky dark brown. Aroma is great, ashy, cocoa, citrus. Taste is gritty, cocoa, bitter, citrus, tongue numbing, bitter hops. Delicious and very generously hopped BIPA.

Thank you for sharing Antwerp Untappd Crew! Sampled draft @ Swafff 2017! Black, deep mocha head. Nose is cacao, bitter coffee & leaves. Taste is cacao, bitter leaves, herbal bitterness, basic coffee bitter. Solid body. Simple, basic but effective enough. Not bad at all given the quality of some French beer.
