Dark brown, thin head. Lots of molasses and a different, barbeque smoke. Body is a little light, there’s even a touch of tartness in the finish, lending it something of an old ale character.

Bottled. Dark mahogany colour, lively beige head. Woody smoke hiding behind vinegary acidity. Fairly light bodied with a pleasant beechwood smokiness and rather soft mouthfeel. The citric acidity is very prominent and certainly detracts from this beers otherwise interesting characteristics. Maybe next botle?
