(Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Vasagatan, Stockholm, 29 Aug 2008) Reddish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dark fruit, orange peel and chocolate. Malty taste with dark and/or dried fruit, dark rye bread, orange peel and earthy, citrussy hops in a bittersweet finish. Not overly bitter, balanced malt sweetness. The Amarillo hops lurk in the background and are not very evident. Not sure if this is supposed to be an American pale ale, but still a nice beer.

Draught. Roasted aroma, slightly fruity. Hazy dark red chestnut colour. Very small creamy tan head. The flavour is a little sweet and roasted and has a little butter. Not too bad, but there should not be butter. The hops are not really distinct which is a disappointment with that name.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Clear ruby, small creamy head. Fairly restrained grapefruit aroma. Fairly light bodied with clean crystal malt profile. Hops are evident, but too careful. There are no edges, but the malt has no depth. Tastes like a it’s made by an American brewpub chain. Dare more!
