Draft at Waterfront-Manhattan. Lots of Head and very pale gold. Tastes like a Witte and a Golden ale cross. Ok but a bit too sweet.

Really nice spice character that I originally thought was ginger. I was worried that this would be one of those tastes that I like at the beginning but hate at the end, but it was mild enough so that I enjoyed it until the end, great job.

(Draught at BA’s BBF’09, I suppose it was this beer although the it was labelled as Glacier) Poured golden and hazy with large white head. Distictively hoppy and somewhat sour aroma. Medium bodied palate with medium carbonation. Tasted of sourness, hops, fruitiness, sweetness and grapefruit in taste. Hoppy and fruity aftertaste.

Draught, Cock & Bull
Fairly dull light bronze colour. Appley, spicy aroma with light bubblegum and floral character. Sweet and fruity (pear, peach, light apple, cherry). Some minty notes. Sweetish finish. I can’t figure out what they’re getting at with this one.

Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a slightly hazy lemon yellow color with a medium frothy head, good head retention and excellent lacing. Hoppy citrus aroma with some caramel notes. Taste is citrus hops, caramel and peppery spice. Very smooth with very soft carbonation. Medium bodied.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Cloudy golden, minimal head.Piney yeasty aroma. Sweetish and medium bodied with fairly clean mouthfeel. Some banana, honey and soap. Spicy and gingerish underneath the clean, slender rounded malt. Low bitterness.

Sampled on draft at Zeno’s in State College PA this beer poured a hazy dark golden color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was lightly sweet, tangy, spicy and peppery. The flavor was dryish tart and bitter with notes of citrus and pepper and a touch of cardboard underneath. The finish was lightly musty.

On tap at the OTH (Oldsmar Tap House). Poured up in a deep tulip glass gold with a slight haze and blooming tall white head of foam. The aroma has notes of tartness, an earthiness that isn’t too earthy (??) followed by fruitiness, mild Belgian candi sugar and banana. The first impression of the taste is how really refreshing this brew is. It has a nice crisp tart mildly Bretty moving to modestly bitter with hops. It then picks up smooth understated earthiness and assorted fruits like banana, raisin, apricot and then some Belgian candi sugar. Nice stuff.

Draft @ Redlight. Yellow-gold, opaque, big creamy white head. Strong phenolic clove aroma with a wheaty note. Cleaner flavor with a spicy kick at the end. Light finish.

Growler from Bierkraft - well, she sure pours nice - cloudy gold, with a frothy, well-sustained head - a lot of orange and lemon zest in the aroma, as well as some ginger, and a strong mix of wildflowers - this is quite nice at first, but after a while it starts to remind one of expensive soaps - a bit of cobweb/earthiness in the mix keeps it interesting, though - the flavor is quite dry, almost dusty, with peppery hops, lemony character, and some zesty, spicy notes late - I long for some mild sweetness to balance these characteristics, but it remains quite dry - there is some phenolic character and a wheaty tang through the middle - much like the aroma, there is a rustic, earthy quality to the flavor that adds a nice dimension - lingering peppery flavor on the tongue - I would like a little bready malt to balance the dryness, but this is a nice beer none-the-less (update, sort of - I’m halfway through the growler, and now that my palate has adjusted to the dryness, this comes across like a hoppy saison - I still want more malt character to balance it, but the hoppiness is quite nice).
