Continuing on my okt fest marzen push. Clearish copper colored and few fingers head. Nose is some spice and malty. Tastes fairly malty, earthy bitterness, some spicing, caramel, faint cola. Lower bodied. Not bad.

From notes. Pours a light copper from a bottle, bready caramel aroma and flavor. Okay beer.

Bottle at America on Tap Slightly hazy deep golden color. Aromas of sweet bready malt and plenty of diacytyl. A bit too sweet and the butterscotch doesn’t do this style any favors.

Bomber from Whole Foods Market Darien. Pours a hazy amber color with a thin tan head that fades quickly. Aroma of toasted grainy malts, caramel and a faint nutty note. The taste is nutty, grainy, caramel, toasted notes, earthy hops. Medium bodied. Decent.

22 oz bottle from Table and Vine. West Springfield,MA. For $4.49. A good price for a nice brew. Can’t tell color or head from a 12 oz plastic cup, however none of that matters. he flavor makes this shine. Caramel and a malt / sweet nose. Medium mouthfeel, Caramel and toffee are the biggest factors here, with a light European hop in the finish, behind the sweetness. A really nice Marzen. I liked this brew overall.

Bottled, thanks Cletus! Lightly hazy amber, small head. Sweet and very caramell. Buttery with well ounded mouthfeel, low bitterness. rather anonymous beer without much depth.

Orange color. Malt flavor and aroma. Ther is only so much to do with this style and Berkshire has done a fine job with it. Lightly caramelized malt.

Poured a rather dark color for a lager, almost looked like some brown ales that I have seen and it has a nice head to boot. The aroma is also pretty nice. Heavy on the malts. The taste however did not do it for me. It tasted like there was more alcohol in it than there really was. It was kind of sweet, but almost in a bad way. Overall, everything about the beer told me that it was gonna be good and then it fell very short.

Pours bright amber into a shaker. Off white head quickly recedes. Crisp with malt front to back.
