330ml bottle from Kihoskh. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, coffee, vanilla, hints of licorice and oak. Taste is roasty and sweetish with loads of licorice, salty notes, hints of vanilla and coffee. Finish is slightly syrupy with loads of salty licorice, roastiness, coffee and vanilla. Quite a licorice overdose.

BB 01.02.2021. black color, dark coffee-colored head. smells earthy, licorice, some light hop notes, nutty, some marzipan, lightly parfumy, light bitter chocolate. very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, very soft mouthfeel. tastes of marzipan, nutty, some bitter chocolate, light earthy notes, a bit lactic, light wood, only very light vanilla notes, light exotic fruits, lightly glueish. finishes lightly dry and roasty bitter with notes of licorice, earthy notes and light vanilla. I am usually not into any kind of imp stouts with vanilla, so I feared the worst when I heard the name, but this one is actually very subtle on the vanilla front and overall very smooth and enjoyable.

Tap at billies. Pours black, good, thick, grey head. Smell is roasty. Taste is bit bitter ( very roasty , intense black malts) vanillabis very very hidden ( i wished it had more ) but it’s a Nice impy nevertheless.

Tasting glass draft @ Billie’s Bier Kafétaria. Black, little tanned head. Nose is very bitter chocolate, bitter roast, very thick umami molasses, sugar, far too umami & oily. Taste is chocolate syrup, far too bitter, very roasted, herbal, huge bitter quality, very umami, there is very low vanilla here but it is barely there in the finsih. Thich oiy umami body, lightly vegetable. My 5th Ghost beer & 5th one that I didn’t really get into, just like the others this one was far too umami, far too bitter, really heavily bitter & nowhere enough vanilla for the name. Seems like I will never become a fan of this brewery.

Draught @ CBC 2016 [ Blue Session ]. - Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016, Oksnehallen Vesterbro, Halmtorvet 11, 1700 Copenhagen, Denmark. [ As Ghost Black Magic Vanilla Sky ].Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, vanilla. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, vanilla, dark malt, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160513]

330 ml bottle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Black color with brown head. Roasted malty aroma, toasted bread, coffee, licorice, chocolate, dark dried fruits, vanilla. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Medium to full oily silky body with soft carbonation.

Tap (Targowa, Wroclaw). Black colour with small beige head and really good lacing. Aroma is delicate a bit roasty and small hint of alcohol but nothing special. A bit coffee, chocolate, roast in taste and sweet in aftertaste. Full body, dense with oil texture, quite drinkable, tasty in overall.
